Your Driving Record can be used by insurance companies to determine
a risk-level and premiums. Your Driving Record can also be used
by employers to determine your ability to safely transport individuals
or goods, depending on the nature of the job. Your Driving Record
can also be used to your advantage if, for example, a judge is
assessing your driving ability and behavior in order to determine if
Defensive Driving School and/or traffic ticket and point reduction are
in your best interest.
The accumulation of many points over a determined period of time could
result in suspension or revocation of your driver’s license. Once
your driver’s license is revoked or suspended, it is very costly to
have it reinstated. Your Driving Record will house your points
for the duration of the time they remain on your record, and a running
total will be automatically updated.
