Missouri motorcycle insurance requirements are similar to those for
other motor vehicles and include minimums of:
- $25,000 per person for bodily injury
- $50,000 per accident for bodily injury
- $10,000 per accident for property
You will find, however, that most insurance companies and organizations
recommend additional Medical Insurance because of the excessive
injuries often associated with motorcycle accidents. The State of
Missouri requires that all motorcyclist wear helmets which greatly
reduce the risk of obtaining serious head injuries in the event an
accident does occur; however, there is very little in between a
motorcyclist and the pavement if an unfortunate accident does occur,
and the last thing you want to worry about after an accident is how you
will pay for your medical care. Be on the safe side and
inquire about MedPay, Personal Injury Protectin (Pip) and/or Increased
Underinsured/Uninsured motorcycle insurance coverage.
